Draguignan is the capital of the Dracénie area. Once there, you’ll discover its historic centre with its many little streets, beautifully carved doors, chapels… and all its charm. You should also visit the Rhône Memorial, the American cemetery and the museum of popular arts and traditions. If you fancy camping here, there are several luxury sites nearby, such as Riviera d’Azur.
This beautiful route stretches for around twenty kilometres along the left bank of the Verdon. It begins in the village of Comps-sur-Artuby and passes the Mescla balconies. The view over the sea is breathtaking. Here too, plenty of luxury camping options await you, such as Camping International de l’Île d’Or.
This is the oldest marine park in the Old Continent. It was created back in 1963. The site covers an impressive area stretching from the coast to the south of the Hyères Islands.
Located east of the Bay of Saint-Tropez, Cap Camarat is home to a lighthouse offering an exceptional view of the area. From there, you can follow the coastal cliff path to reach Pampelonne and Bonne Terrasse beaches. As for campsites, there are several, including Cap Taillat.

The Var department is the ideal spot for hiking, whether along the coast or in other natural areas. Explore the Caramy waterfalls, Mont Vinaigre, the mountain pass route, the Giens Peninsula, or the coastal path.
Also let yourself be enchanted by the Villepey ponds. What’s more, the Rupestre trail is sure to please – it lets you tour around Saint-Raphaël while enjoying beautiful sea views.
The seabed of the Var is perfect for scuba diving. If you’re an experienced diver, you can dive in the Mediterranean. For less experienced visitors, snorkelling is also an option. All you need is a mask and snorkel. Once kitted out, explore the seabed near the beaches.
In the Var, there’s certainly no shortage of water sports activities – quite the opposite! Here you can practise kayaking, catamaran sailing, water skiing and plenty of other activities on the waters of certain lakes. The choice is yours!
