These are the must-see spots of the department. They surround the Bay of the Departed (Baie des Trépassées). Thanks to the surrounding cliffs, these sites offer a magnificent, wild view. You’ll see, for example, the Crozon Peninsula, located opposite Brest. You’ll also enjoy a breathtaking view of Pointe du Millier and Pointe de Beuzec.
Finistère is also home to the most iconic Breton towns, such as Quimper, Concarneau, Douarnenez and Quimperlé. Each has its own inimitable charm. Quimper, for example, is a thousand-year-old city, from which it draws all its beauty and charm. It boasts a very rich cultural heritage and varied gastronomy.
These villages are every bit as charming as the Breton towns. They’re made up of small granite houses surrounded by flowers and greenery. Breton villages are also home to small fishing harbours. Take, for example, the village of Locronan, known for its central square, small houses and old church. A true slice of paradise!
These aren’t really mountains, since their height doesn’t exceed 300 metres, but rather small hills. These mountains are part of the Armorican Massif. They’re beautiful to look at and to climb. The highest point, the Roc de Toullaëron, stands at 326 metres. Once at the summit, you’ll enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the region!
