Domaine de la Forge covers 19 hectares of oak and maritime pine woodland on the route de Sanguinet in La Teste-de-Buch. The density of trees changes everything: pitches and rental units are widely spaced and shaded, and the site keeps a quiet feel even in mid-August, which is far from the norm around the Bassin d’Arcachon.
Rated 4 stars and part of the Sea Green by Sunêlia network, the estate focuses on upmarket rentals: air-conditioned Luxe cottages and chalets of 40 m² with two bathrooms, a Prestige range of two to three bedrooms, a 35 m² Luxe chalet adapted for reduced mobility, Havana lodges in its Green Village and pitches for vans up to 150 m². It is one of the few campsites in the area to stay open almost all year, with a single annual closure in January.
The Le Tiki restaurant and its bar handle on-site catering, backed by a snack bar, a grocery shop and a bread service. The estate goes further than the usual campsite offer with a massage area, a hair salon and a tourist information point, all useful on a long stay or out of season.
The laundry is open daily from 9am to 7pm and bikes are available to rent from 4 April 2026. Arrival is from 4pm, departure before 10am, and the booking centre answers Monday to Saturday from 9am to 6pm. Visa and Mastercard as well as French ANCV holiday vouchers are accepted. One animal per accommodation is allowed, up to 20 kg and excluding category 1 and 2 dogs, at 7 euros per day.
The estate has tennis courts, a multi-sports court, a fitness area, a mini-golf course, a treetop adventure park, playgrounds and an animal area. Evenings revolve around concerts and the night market held on site in season.
The Bassin d’Arcachon starts 5 km away: the oyster port of La Teste, the Arcachon pier and its Ville d’Hiver district, the villages of L’Herbe and Cap Ferret. The Dune du Pilat is a few minutes away, the ocean beaches and their surf spots are 12 km off, and the coastal cycle paths start at the campsite, which holds the Home Vélo label. Boat trips on the Bassin can be booked at reception.
